Custom Branding & Private Label

Custom Packaging

Create branded packaging and presentation around your product without necessarily changing the product itself. The box, the mailer, the insert and the tape are what your customer actually handles when the parcel arrives.

What you get
  • Printed boxes, mailers, inserts, cards and tape
  • Held as warehouse stock, so packing is not slower
  • Print runs quoted against your artwork and quantity
  • Physical samples approved before the full run
The operational problem

Where packaging sits among the three branding options

This hub covers three distinct jobs and they are easy to confuse, so the distinction is worth stating plainly. Custom packaging is branding around the product. White label is your branding on an existing product. Private label, OEM and ODM is your own product, developed to your specification.

Packaging is the cheapest of the three and the fastest to change, which is why it is usually the right first move. It requires no product commitment and no minimum production run beyond the print itself.

Why it is held as stock

Branded packaging only works operationally if it is already at the warehouse when the order arrives. Packaging that has to be called off, printed or shipped in at dispatch time turns a same-day pick into a multi-day one, which is how branding quietly becomes a delivery problem.

So print runs are produced ahead and held as stock alongside your products. Packing a branded order then takes the same time as packing a plain one, and your account manager reorders against consumption rather than waiting for you to run out.

Questions

Custom Packaging FAQs

Does branded packaging slow down dispatch?
No, because the packaging is held as stock at the warehouse before orders arrive. It is only slow if it has to be produced or shipped in at the moment of dispatch, which is exactly what holding it avoids.
What does a print run cost?
It is quoted per run against your artwork and quantity rather than published as a flat rate, because unit cost moves sharply with volume and with the item. Send the artwork and the quantity you want to commit to and you get a real number.
Do I see a sample before the full run?
Yes. A physical sample is produced and approved before the run goes ahead. Screen proofs misrepresent colour on board and film often enough that skipping this step is a false economy.
Can you design the packaging as well as print it?
We work from your artwork. If you do not have print-ready files, your account manager will tell you the specification needed, dimensions, bleed, colour space, so a designer you choose can produce them correctly the first time.
